Strawberry Festival
This weekend, April 22 and 23, 2023, we were in Carros, 30 minutes from our gites www.locations-06.fr and our farm www.terroir-06.fr.
It was the Carros Strawberry Festival. The famous Strawberry Festival was in its 48th year!
Guilhem CODERA, farmer-processor, set up his Terroir-06 stand on the Place Louis Frescolini in Carros.
This festival is an opportunity for visitors to taste the delicious strawberries grown on site in Carros and Gattières.
These farmers are often strawberry-growing families, like Mr. Clérissi: super farmer and organizer of the festival.
Astronomical quantities of this pretty, fragrant and sweet red fruit were sold.
www.terroir-06.fr had created a surprise with an innovation: organic strawberry honey, Miam-miam. The result was magical and an immediate success!
This family festival featured some 50 stalls and rides.
There were stands selling socca, wine, nougat, cheeses, fruit jellies, potted flowers, sausages,Arranged rum and, of course, our Terroir-06 stand selling our oils, olive paste, jams, jellies, candied fruit, syrups, cookies, candles, orangettes and much more.
