The village of Falicon
Falicon is a pretty village of 2,000 inhabitants located just 10kms from Nice and 1h from our gites www.locations-06.fr in Le Bar sur Loup.
This pretty, authentic village sits on a small promontory with magnificent views over Nice and the Baie des Anges.
The village abounds in houses with colorful facades adorned with trompe-l’oeil frescoes.
The village is surrounded by olive groves and was once a major centre for carnation growing, which is still celebrated every year on the second Sunday in April.
There’s a lovely atmosphere, with carnation decorations everywhere, musical entertainment, craft stalls ranging from aperitif cookies to ceramic artists and wooden creations, sellers of candles, cosmetics, fabrics, clothes, make-up, honey and much more.
In short, lots of pretty things.
