River fishing in the Alpes-Maritimes

River fishing

Fishing is possible in the rivers of the Alpes-Maritimes, but only with a fishing licence. The card can be an “inter-federal or adult card”, a “day card”, a “under-12s card” or a “women’s discovery card”. There’s something for every situation. With more than 8,000 fishermen in the département, plus anglers from neighboring départements, river fishing is a particularly well-suited activity in today’s context: individual or even solitary activity, possibly family-oriented, numerous, vast and diverse fishing grounds with the 06’s 4,000 km of rivers, the desire to enjoy nature and oxygenate oneself. The fishing season opens on the second Saturday in March and runs until the 3rd Sunday in September.
