What is Domaine des Courmettes?

The Domaine des Courmettes is one of the two A Rocha France centers and welcomes churches and individuals for various seminars and activities related to raising awareness of ecological issues. But this place is also open to everyone. The 600 hectare estate is a true haven of peace.

What is “A Rocha”?

A Rocha is an international Christian organization which works for the conservation of nature through scientific studies, work to preserve the natural environment and awareness-raising activities.

A walk in the Domaine de Courmettes

Nous aimons y aller et à chaque fois nous sommes subjugués par la beauté des lieux et des vues. When we go up to “aux Courmettes” as they say here, we are first amazed by the different panoramas available to us. Both on the sea and the Bay of Cannes and on the mountains of the pre-Alps of Grasse. You can enjoy a view of the coastline from Pointe de l’Aiguille in Théoule to Nice and Villefranche. On a clear day, you can also clearly see Corsica which is 120 kilometers offshore!
The view of the hinterland allows you to discover the Gorges du Loup, the village of Bar sur Loup as well as Gourdon and the Montagne du Cheiron, it’s fantastic! You can park freely and from the Château you can start a walk or hike with the choice of duration and level of difficulty. You can choose to head towards Tourrettes sur Loup and the Caïre district, the path is almost flat and very walkable. You can also choose to head towards the pretty village of Courmes or climb the Pic des Courmettes in about an hour for the bravest. We love the calm, the silence, the tranquility of the place.
