Perched on a mountainside 800 meters above sea level, the village of Tende is located in the Roya Valley. The pretty village of Tende, with its narrow streets, is the final French stopover before the Italian Piedmont. Above it, the Col de Tende rises to 1871 metres. In this vertiginous setting, Tende is also the natural border of the Mercantour National Park and the Vallée des Merveilles, making it an ideal playground for hikers.
Cultural visits include beautiful museums such as the Vallo Alpino and Musée des Merveilles and the Maison du Mercantour, not forgetting the beautiful collegiate church of Notre Dame de l’Assomption.
