Fréjus International Air Festival
A fun, sporty and poetic outing
A great autumn event on the Côte d’Azur, the Festival International de l’Air is a festival of colors!
The Fréjus International Air Festival (F.I.A.) for more than 20 years, has contributed to introducing the general public to a world that is both playful, sporting and poetic, allowing them to feel sensations and experience emotions.
It’s fantastic to discover kite pilots from all over the world combining both mastery and technical precision who introduce us to real musical shows.
In October, this year on October 22 and 23, the meeting was at the François Léotard Nature Base in Fréjus.
Before it became an exceptional site bordered by the Great Blue and dedicated to outdoor leisure, the Nature Base was the cradle of French aeronautics.
La Base Nature will deploy its charming assets for an ephemeral show during the F.I.A.
At this Festival there is something for everyone: a complete range of disciplines related to the air: traditional, artistic, acrobatic kites, microlights, XXL giant structures, etc.
Kites in all their forms become a source of sharing and discovery thanks to the diversity of free activities that are offered: wind gardens, many workshops for children, awareness-raising actions for environmental protection, etc.
It is very pleasant because this Festival is free and you can wander, stroll, dream. Tens of thousands of visitors go there every year.
A great family outing in perspective under the flamboyant colors of an Indian summer.
For children, the rides are there, as well as a wide range of activities: Wind garden, turbines and windsocks, manufacturing workshops, flying school, exhibitions, etc.
Here is a great idea for a family outing 1 hour from our holiday apartments near Cannes www.locations-06.fr
