A new museum at Le Bar sur Loup in the Grasse region

This authentic place bears witness to the village’s rich past, offering visitors a unique immersion in its cultural and artisanal heritage.

Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from 10 am to 5 pm, passionate volunteers, often natives of the village, take turns to share their knowledge and memories. These enriching explanations allow you to better understand the history of Bar-sur-Loup, while discovering captivating anecdotes about life in the past. Their warm welcome and enthusiasm make each visit particularly pleasant and memorable.

On site, an impressive collection of traditional objects is presented, ranging from typical clothing to agricultural tools used by the elders. Visitors can learn more about the trades of yesteryear, including the extraction of aromatics, the distillation of orange blossom or the cultivation of tuberose. Fascinating techniques such as enfleurage or paper making are also explained in detail, allowing a better understanding of these now rare skills.
