Cabris, whose name comes from the Latin capra which means “goat”, is one of these beautiful hilltop villages in the Alpes Maritimes.

When you arrive, you first see wonderful views of Tanneron, Lake Saint Cassien, the mountains, the sea, then you see a pretty chapel on the side of the road and finally, a large green meadow, the kingdom of children and families. Large trees, shaded café terraces and a light air that make you want to run and have a picnic in this little Provencal paradise!
From its past, discover the old town hall, the clock tower, the chapel of the white penitents, the church, the chapels, the old houses with Provençal facades, etc.
We love to stroll through these pretty streets, smell the aroma of a stew being prepared on the fire, and admire the views from this eagle’s nest.

We like to come to the market on Fridays on rue de l’église, place de la mairie.
Of the beautiful medieval castle that overlooked the village, only a few ruins and the remains of the surrounding wall remain. But from its esplanade, you will be more than rewarded by the extraordinary view of the Mediterranean just 25 minutes from our gites www.locations-06.fr
