Die strategisch auf einem H\u00fcgel gelegene, befestigte Siedlung bot den Einwohnern Schutz vor Invasionen vom Meer aus. Jahrhundert von Rainier Grimaldi, Admiral von Frankreich und Herr von Cagnes, erbaut wurde, bildet das historische Zentrum des Dorfes.  <\/p><p>Im Laufe der Jahrhunderte hat sich der Weiler ver\u00e4ndert, aber er hat sein mittelalterliches Flair bewahrt. In den 1920er und 1930er Jahren zog Hauts-de-Cagnes eine Kolonie von K\u00fcnstlern und Intellektuellen an, die von dem au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnlichen Licht und der malerischen Atmosph\u00e4re des Ortes begeistert waren. Zu ihnen geh\u00f6rten klangvolle Namen wie Renoir, Modigliani, Soutine und sp\u00e4ter Yves Klein oder Georges Simenon. Diese k\u00fcnstlerische Aura pr\u00e4gt das Dorf noch heute.   <\/p><h3 class=\"western\">Les Hauts de Cagnes, ein Hauch von mittelalterlichem Dorf<\/h3><p>Sobald Sie das moderne Zentrum von Cagnes-sur-Mer verlassen und auf die Anh\u00f6hen steigen, \u00e4ndert sich die Szenerie drastisch. Enge Gassen, manchmal mit Treppen, schl\u00e4ngeln sich zwischen Steinh\u00e4usern mit verwitterten Fassaden. Die B\u00f6gen, gew\u00f6lbten Durchg\u00e4nge und kleinen schattigen Pl\u00e4tze erz\u00e4hlen eine Geschichte, die Jahrhunderte zur\u00fcckreicht.  <\/p><p>Die Atmosph\u00e4re ist friedlich und l\u00e4dt zum Flanieren ein.
